Governor of Guizhou Province

Lin Shusen, a native of Shantou, Guangdong Province, was born in September 1946. He graduated from Guangdong Engineering College and joined the Communist Party of China (CPC) in 1981.

Lin successively served as mayor, secretary of CPC Guangzhou Municipal Committee and chairman of the Standing Committee of Guangzhou Municipal People's Congress.

He's also an alternate member of the 16th CPC Central Committee, acting governor of Guizhou Province and vice secretary of the CPC Guizhou Provincial Committee.

Lin's education and work experience is as follows：

1965-1970: Student of Construction Architectural Engineering Department of Guangdong Engineering College.

1970-1976: Technician of Heping County Fiber Plant, Cadre of the Heping Development Planning Commission, Guangdong Province.

1976-1980: Deputy Director of Heping County Chemical Fertilizer Production Office.

1980-1983: Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of Heping County People's Congress 

1983-1984: Deputy Mayor of Huizhou City in Guangdong Province.

1984-1988: Deputy Commissioner of the Administrative Office and Deputy Secretary of the CPC Huiyang District Committee.

1988-1992: Deputy Mayor of Huizhou City; Deputy Secretary of the CPC Huizhou Municipal Committee.

1992-1994: Deputy Secretary-General of Guangdong Provincial Government.

1994-1996: Director of Guangdong Provincial Development Planning Commission.

1996-1997: Standing Committee Member of the CPC Guangzhou Municipal Committee; Deputy Secretary of CPC Guangzhou Municipal Committee; Deputy Mayor, Acting Mayor of Guangzhou City.

1997- 2002: Deputy Secretary of CPC Guangzhou Municipal Committee; Mayor of Guangzhou City.

2002-2003: Standing Committee Member of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee; Secretary of CPC Guangzhou Municipal Committee; Mayor of Guangzhou City.

2003-2006: Alternate Member of the 16th CPC Central Committee; Standing Committee Member of CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee; Secretary of CPC Guangzhou Municipal Committee; Chairman of the Standing Committee of Guangzhou Municipal People's Congress; First Secretary of the Guangzhou Garrison of the PLA.

2006-2007: Deputy Governor and Acting Governor of Guizhou Province; Vice Secretary of the CPC Guizhou Provincial Committee.

2007-: Governor of Guizhou Province.
