A charter air service from Lhasa, the capital of the Tibet Autonomous Region, to Hong Kong will soon be put into operation, a senior official of China Southwest Airlines said. It will be the 11th air route from Lhasa, on the Roof of the World, to other cities following services to such cities as Chengdu, Chongqing, Beijing, Shanghai, Xining, and Katmandu, the capital of Nepal.
