Jackie Chan has been embroiled in a scandal following two media reports about illegal recruitment at the Northern Automotive Repairing School of which he appeared in an advertisement for.

Chan's manager in Beijing, Yifangzi Culture Communication, confirmed that Chan did appear in an endorsement for the school, but was unclear about the exact nature of the allegations.

Chan's new movie "The Kungfu Kid" is filming in Beijing over summer.

The advertisement and pictures of Chan promoting the school remain on the school's website.
