As part of a public awareness campaign "One in 2008", director Zhang Yibai is shooting an Olympic-themed short film in Beijing, sina.com reports.

The film depicts how the public has been influenced by the major events China has experienced in 2008, the director said.

On Wednesday, Zhang Yibai shot a scene portraying how Beijing has changed due to the Olympics through the eyes of a child on his way to school. Actress Sun Li plays a bus conductor in the clip.

The filming in Beijing will last three days, Zhang Yibai said.

The "One in 2008" campaign, launched by the Shanghai Media Group in early June, invited 11 leading Chinese directors to make a short film each to record significant moments of 2008. Director Chen Kaige's project featuring sports stars Yao Ming and Liu Xiang was shot last month.
