The 2008 Hong Kong and Macao Visual Arts Exhibition opened Monday at the Beijing World Art Museum. The exhibition creates a dialogue between arts and the multi-cultural society.

Over seventy items are on display - paintings, photographs, sculpture, installation art, and multi-media production. All aim to recreate different perspectives on life among people in the Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions.

Artists are young and old. Their various backgrounds and experiences help to create a panoramic view of two indispensable elements of Chinese culture - the cultures of Hong Kong and Macao.
