Madagascan experts hail the reform decision taken this week by the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, saying it is of historical significance.

"This is a big step in the world history because China is an emerging country having its economic potential in the world. This will change the image of China in the eyes of other countries, especially the Western countries," an expert in international law Razainjafy Alexis told Xinhua in an interview on Saturday.

An expert in political science Pamphile Rakotonirina said it is a positive step in the history of China, which is able to decide to change its story. "Certainly it is an internal policy of China, but it will also bypass the role of China in the world."

Economist Razaka Alphonse said, "Because China is very influential in the world trade and economy, the decision taken by China will also influence other countries, especially the poor countries."

The expert in sociology, Heriniaina Joseph, told Xinhua that China is a very populous country, which boasts a population of 1.3 billion out of the 7 billion in the world. "If its leaders do not know how to take adequate measures to establish peace in their country, it will be a big problem for the world. In my opinion, this is another way to avoid problems in China."

The CPC's decision on major issues concerning comprehensively deepening reforms was made public on Friday. It provides a roadmap for China's further development. The decision was approved at the Third Plenary Session of the 18th CPC Central Committee held from Nov. 9 to 12 in Beijing.

The Chinese community in Madagascar applauded the CPC's decision.

Wang Shumei, the head of the primary school of the Confucius Institute of Madagascar, told Xinhua that she can't sleep for the whole night after she read the decision. "China encourages non-governmental organizations and Chinese- funded institutions to participate in establishing Confucius Institutes or other cultural centers abroad. This encouraged me a lot and I decided to invest in a primary school for children to learn Chinese in the coming years." Wang said.

The CPC Central Committee decided to support the development of the private economy, and stimulate its vitality and creativity, according to an explanation of the decision made by Chinese leader Xi Jinping.

Cai Guowei, president of the Chinese Businessman Association in Madagascar, told Xinhua that he is proud of being a private businessman.

"The decision reads that both public and non-public sectors of the economy are important components of the socialist market economy and significant bases for economic and social development. From this point , I think the reform is really comprehensive and deep. I never feel so proud as a private boss. I think I will have more chances in business under the decision and I will let my Chinese colleagues in Madagascar know all this later," Cai said.
