1 Sprouting Spring New Year’s Festive Lantern Show

The show will be held at Sprouting Spring Scenic Spot from January 31 to February 21. The show mainly includes lantern riddles, a festive lantern photographic exhibition, traditional folk art performances, a folk customs show, etc.

2 New Year’s with Liangshan Heroes

The event will be held at the Liangshan Mountain Scenic Spot on January 31. It mainly includes a folk tradition & customs show, the Jingzhong Temple Fair, the “Water Margin” story show, the “Water Margin Street” market, the “Water Margin” folk customs parade, etc.

3 New Year’s Prayer Meeting in Lingyan Temple

The prayer meeting will be held inside the Lingyan Temple Scenic Area of Wande Town in Changqing District, Jinan City, during the Spring Festival holiday. It includes a prayer parade, Buddhism painting exhibition, a Spring Festival market, etc.

4 Spring Festival Prayer Temple Fair in Mengshan

The temple fair will be held at the Guimeng Scenic Spot of the Mengshan Mountain Tourist Area in Linyi City, from January 31 to February 6. It includes a Taoist Prayer Ceremony, an Imperial Parade (performance), a folk performance, the intangible cultural heritage show, lantern riddles, Yimeng cuisine tasting and several interactive games.

5 “Eight Immortals” Prayer Meeting in Penglai

The prayer meeting will be held at the Eight Immortals Crossing Sea Scenic Spot from February 14 to 15. It includes such folk performances as yangko (a popular rural folk dance), a land boat (a model boat used as a stage prop in some folk dances), a dragon dance, a lion dance and stilt-walking.

6 Radish & Tanghulu Fair in Qingdao

The event will be held on Wenhua Street of the Community Cultural Square and Haiyun Square in Qingdao, from February 8 to 27. It mainly includes the “Radish Carving Contest,” and the “Intangible Heritage Show.”

7 Spring Festival at Confucius Mansion in Qufu

The event will be held inside the Queli Hotel in Qufu, Shandong, from January 1 to February 14. It will fully showcase the ancient customs of the Confucius Family Mansion through 26 activities.

8 Mount Taishan Prayer Meeting

The event will be held at the Mount Taishan Scenic Spot from January 31 to February 6, and again on February 14. It mainly includes a series of performance ceremonies.

9 “Spring Festival inside the Home of New Year’s Pictures” in Yangjiabu

The event will be held at the folk customs village from January 1 to February 14. Several free items will be provided: ancient carriage rides, visits to the production sites of wooden engraved pictures, folk performances and diabolo juggling.

10 Zhoucun Xinzi Performance in Zibo

The event will be held at the Zhoucun Ancient Commercial City Scenic Spot, from January 31 to February 5. Zhoucun Xinzi is a folk performance art form with more than 400 years of history; it has been listed as Chinese Intangible Cultural Heritage.
