Jining has been planning to roll out its latest urban map, unfolding the changes in the city's urban development and covering new places of interest.

Zhou Luning, chief of the Market Development Department of the Tourism Administration in Jining, explained the map would bring home new features of places like Beihu Eco New Town, Eastern High-Tech Zone, the Old City and North Jining New Zone, advertising all Jining's tourism has to offer.

This year, Jining established its slogan for tourism publicity: Hometown of Confucius and Mencius, City of Canals and Cultural Jining. The logo of Jining tourism promotion remains to be decided on. The recently published version mainly depicts the scenario of Confucius travelling across different states. The water pattern at the bottom stands for the ancient canals, Weishan Lake and Liangshanshui Lake, and the auspicious clouds represent Buddhist culture.
