The third Popular Fitness Games of Shandong Province, together with the launching ceremony of the Popular Fitness Month, were held on May 18 in Zibo Sports Center.

The games stressed the participation of civilians and highlighted traditional projects through league matches and contests.

Wang Suilian, the vice governor of Shandong province, opened the ceremony.

The foundation of the General Voluntary Service Team of Shandong Popular Fitness Games was announced during the opening ceremony. The aim of the team is to spread the spirit of dedication, fraternity, mutual help and progress.

A perfected voluntary service system of popular fitness will continue promoting voluntary service activities for sports.

The popular Chinese folk dance Yangko, calisthenics, qigong, and kung fu fans were performed after the ceremony.
