BEIJING, July 27 (Xinhua) -- China's Ministry of Commerce said Friday that protectionist measures will harm the European solar industry and the two sides can resolve the dispute through negotiations.

The move came after a report revealed that Germany's SolarWorld and other European solar panel makers filed a complaint this week seeking import tariffs on Chinese-made products.
