The return capsule of Shenzhou 10 spacecraft landed at around 8:07 a.m. Beijing Time Wednesday at the main landing area in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, according to the Beijing Aerospace Control Center.

Commander-in-chief of the country's manned space program Zhang Youxia announced that the Shenzhou 10 mission was successful.

The Shenzhou 10 space mission's astronauts said they "feel good" after they left the spacecraft's return module.

Nie Haisheng, commander of the Shenzhou 10 space mission, was the first to come out of the spacecraft's return module at around 9:30 a.m..

Upon his safe return, Nie also sets a record of stay in space for Chinese astronauts with more than 470 hours in two missions.

"The space is our dream, and China is always our home. We wish our homeland would grow more prosperous and the people live more affluent lives," he said.

"We are dreamers, and we also have our dreams realized," said Zhang Xiaoguang, another crew member of the spacecraft.

Wang Yaping, the female astronaut aboard the Shenzhou 10, said with the mission she had fulfilled two dreams in her childhood. "One is the space dream and the other is a dream to be a teacher, and this time I have become a teacher lecturing in space," she said.

Launched on June 11, Shenzhou 10 docked with Tiangong 1 automatically and later manually. In the 12 days spent in Tiangong 1, astronauts conducted space medical experiments, technical tests and delivered a lecture to students about basic physics principles.

Chinese President Xi Jinping made a video call to the three astronauts aborad Tiangong 1 on June 24 at the Beijing Aerospace Control Center.

"The space dream is part of the dream to make China stronger. With the development of space programs, the Chinese people will take bigger strides to explore further into the space," Xi said.
