Zou Hengfu, a former professor of economics at Peking University (PKU), wrote on his microblog that he has contacted the supervisory office of PKU's Discipline Inspection Committee and provided them with some more information.

Ever since Zou revealed in a microblog post that his former PKU colleagues had sexually harassed hostesses at the Mengtaoyuan Restaurant, he has been sought after by PKU, media and netizens for evidence and further information.

Yesterday at 1:34p.m., Zou wrote: "I have contacted the Disciplinary Committee Office of PKU, I sent them some more information material, which they have received."

Yesterday night Zou also sent part of the reported material to several journalists.

Earlier, Zou wrote on his microblog that he would only discuss the issue with the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection.

But on the phone, Zou told China Youth Daily that he had not provided PKU with any major evidence.

"Why I chose to contact PKU?" Zou asked, "Because both PKU and media are calling me a liar. So now I am giving you some clues to let you know that I am not making things up."

Zou said in an interview with Beijing News that this time he will confront PKU by revealing more scandals, including his dismissal by the university in 2007, academic corruption, improper conduct between teachers and students, teachers' going dining, wining, whoring and gambling.

"I am not hiding and I am not making things up," Zou said, "I have a lot of material."

Zou said his accusing PKU was not out of spite and he only wished to improve China's education environment. "I am against corruption and licentious conduct," Zou said.

He believes that in six months to a year China will take some new measures to improve relations between university teachers and students, relations among teachers and relations between teachers and universities.

PKU spokesman Jiang Langlang confirmed this morning that Zou had provided some new evidence, but that the evidence had nothing to do with the Mengtaoyuan case.

Jiang further stated that Zou's revelation of the Mengtaoyuan incident has greatly damaged the PKU reputation. PKU's Discipline Inspection Committee investigation group will only look into the Mengtaoyuan incident for now, Jiang said.

Jiang vowed to find out the truth so as to clean the university's tarnished image.

For the time being no inquiries will be made into any other issues reported by Zou, Jiang said.
