More than 200 million Chinese are overweight and another 60 million are obese, said Cai Jiming, vice director of the Preventive Medicine Association, in Beijing yesterday in a press conference of the International Healthy Lifestyle Expo, Beijing Times reports.

Also, 160 million people in China suffer from high blood pressure and another 90 million have diabetes, two diseases related to obesity.

"Unhealthy lifestyles, including smoking, excessive drinking, unbalanced diet, lack of exercise, have become the main factors endangering Chinese people's health," Cai said.
