Li Yong, typical of the post-80s, stayed in Beijing after he graduated from Tsinghua University in 2003, started to run his own business in 2005, and bought his own house at the end of 2007.

In contrast to many other young people who make buying a house the priority, Li prioritized his career. "I firmly believe that if I have a good career, I will get everything, including a house in a big city sooner or later," Li said.

As he immersed himself in his work, he didn't even think about buying a house. During one two-year span, Li moved 4 times. Adding to his stress, his first company was foundering and eventually had to shut down completely. Nonetheless, he remained determined to succeed.

Li's determination paid off by the end of 2007 as his second entrepreneurial endeavor began generating profits and enabled him to afford a house – even in pricy downtown Beijing. However, Li opted to purchase a cheaper home in the Beijing suburbs. "If I spend too much on a house, my business would be affected," Li explained. That financial prudence and dedication to his work are perhaps the reasons why he has successfully established a new underwear company.
