Zhoushan comprises more than 1,000 large and small islands in the East China Sea. It is known as "China's fishing ground" and boasts one of the biggest and best fishing areas in the country. Zhoushan is a booming tourism destination as well, not only because it attracts fishermen from the neighboring areas all year around, but also because of the beautiful natural landscape these islands offer.
