China.org.cn, China's key English-language news and reference information service, today re-launches its website with a brand new design and added functionality that takes the 9-year-old site into the world of Web 2.0.

The new site includes a number of exciting new interactive features that allow readers to contribute their own views and content while continuing to enjoy the top quality news and features provided by the China.org.cn editorial team.

A China Wiki gives readers the opportunity to contribute to building a rich account of China's culture, history, and modernization. With sections on art, history, culture, politics and religion, China Wiki will become an indispensable reference point for everyone interested in China's past, present and future.

The China Answers section lets readers ask and answer specific questions about China, from travel tips and everyday issues to the most detailed aspects of government policy. For people living in China, planning a visit, or who are just interested, this is the place to go for answers.

A new, interactive City Guide helps readers plan trips and allows them to describe their experiences and add reviews and ratings of resorts, hotels, restaurants and travel arrangements. The City Guide currently has in-depth information on 38 top destinations around China and will continue to expand.

An expanded Opinion section will not only provide an insight into current Chinese thinking on major issues but also give readers the opportunity to submit their own opinion articles for publication.

China.org.cn is expanding its editorial department and will continue to provide breaking news, in-depth reports and features covering politics, the economy, society, sports and entertainment in China and around the world.

President of China Internet Information Center (CIIC) Huang Youyi said, "The new features of our site are a very significant development. People who want to learn about how China is changing should visit China.org.cn."

China.org.cn is the English language website of CIIC, which was established in 2000 by China International Publishing Group under the auspice of China's State Council Information Office to provide a multi-language news and information service on the Internet.
