Statistics from askci.com, a professional market research institute in China, show that China's instant noodles production ranked number one in the world in 2011.
The country produced a total of 8.28 million tons of instant noodles in 2011, a 22.82 percent increase compared to 2010.
Henan Province produced 2.45 million tons of instant noodles in 2011, a 14.75 percent increase in comparison with 2010, accounting for 29.61 percent of the national total. It was followed by Hebei (12.24 percent), Sichuan (6.58 percent) and Guangdong (5.48 percent).
