Duofu Aviation Industry Group (Duofu Aviation) signed sales contracts for 155 helicopters with 180 horsepower turbo-shaft engines with Shanxi Longcheng Flying Eagle Development Co., Ltd. as well as some overseas companies at the ongoing 14th China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition (Airshow China) in Zhuhai, south China's Guangdong province, on Nov. 10, 2022.

Duofu Aviation is a subsidiary of Duofu Group. As a forerunner in China's emerging general aviation sector, the company seized opportunities for the latest technological revolution and industrial transformation. It kicked off with concrete steps in 2021. It took independent research and development (R&D) and high-tech innovation as the driving force and developed a smooth, efficient, and mutually beneficial global general aviation chain.

Duofu Aviation has set up international R&D centers in Shanghai, Milan, and Vancouver. With independent intellectual property rights, Duofu Aviation has attracted customers from both China and abroad. 

Shanxi Longcheng Flying Eagle Aviation Development Co., Ltd. focuses on "general aviation +" as its core business development direction. Through its cooperation with Duofu Aviation, it plans to build a national aviation network connecting counties by setting up nearly 80 flight bases.

A day earlier at the airshow, Wu Guanghui, the chief designer of the C919 and a Chinese Academy of Engineering member, visited the Duofu Aviation booth and had an in-depth conversation with on-site engineers after a cockpit test. Wu said he hoped Duofu Aviation would continue to play its role in facilitating China's general aviation development.

Combining advanced manufacturing and modern services, the aviation industry can drive the local economy and amplify benefits for neighboring regions. The rapid development of the sector presents an excellent opportunity for China.

According to the White Paper on General Aviation Industry Development (2022) released by the Aviation Industry Corporation of China, Ltd. (AVIC) on Nov. 9, newly industrialized countries (NICs) have become an increasingly important market for general aviation. Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa have a total of 45,000 general aircraft, accounting for about 10% of the world's total.
