Fans of Apple in Thailand on Thursday widely shared grief with the whole world over the death of the considerably greatest inspirational and farthest reaching influential'tech-geek' -- Steve Jobs, a co-founder of Apple.

The former Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva, an iPhone supporter, Thursday morning put a message on his wall page in Face Book (FB), the most popular social networking service and website, saying "I'm deeply saddened that we have lost an inspirational visionary like Steve Jobs."

The other aggrieved fans could not help from expressing their deepest condolences over this historic lost. "One of the people who has continuously inspired me for working has just left me. I always have faith in you -- Steve Jobs," an FB user Somchoke Kongbun wrote.

"He is the person who changes the history of technology world and keeps it moving. He has shown us how his innovations have made the world different," Chaiwat Thongrat wrote a tribute to Jobs' passing.

"We lost another great man. His ideas change the world. He will be in our memory and world history forever. RIP," said Sureeporn Sirisansaneeyawong, an admirer of Jobs.

A page on FB was also just created as a tribute page in memory of Jobs with the name 'Thailand Steve Jobs R.I.P: Please pay tribute to Steve Jobs' so that it would be a focal point for his followers to pass on their last words to him.

On'Must Love Mac' page created on FB by Copperwired Co., Ltd.-- Apple premium reseller in Thailand with the brand iStudio, a lot of people expressed their sadness, mostly 'RIP' (Rest In Peace). However, when asked if the company would hold any activity to commemorate Jobs, the marketing department told Xinhua that at the moment their executives have not yet passed down any policy.

While '#iSad' may have been a popular hashtag that dominated posted messages of fans on microblogging social network Twitter in western part, Thai microbloggers often quoted "There are two apples that changed the world: Sir Isaac Newton and Steve Jobs." and "Have the courage to follow your heart and intuition," the buzzword excerpted from and made the headline of Jobs' article published in November 2007.

Media in Thailand like Thairath (Thai State), which has the largest circulation of Thai-language daily newspaper in the country, also launched a collection of Jobs photos on its website on Thursday.

In Thailand, it is estimated that at least 200,000 people are using iPhone. In 2009, estimated sales of iPhone 3GS surpassed 20, 000 while in September 2010 only, over 132,000 iPhone4 were sold across the country.

Steven Paul Jobs, the Apple Inc. chairman and co-founder, died early Wednesday at the age of 56 after having a long battle with cancer. Apple didn't specify the cause of death but Jobs has suffered a number of serious health problems over the years. In 2004, he announced that he had a rare form of pancreatic cancer and also received a liver transplant in 2009.

In August, Jobs stepped down as chief executive, handing the rein to longtime deputy Tim Cook. iPhone 4S was launched only a day earlier of his death on Wednesday.

Late Wednesday, Jobs' family released a short statement reading "Steve died peacefully today surrounded by his family."

Shortly after the news began to circulate, Apple's homepage became a tribute to Jobs. On its front page, messages from Tim Cook's e-mail to his employees were partly quoted "Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing human being. Steve leaves behind a company that only he could have built, and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple."
