China's stocks markets edged down at Friday's opening after dipping for seven consecutive trading days, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.10 percent, to open at 2,371.32.

The Shenzhen Component Index lost 0.13 percent, to open at 9,192.10.
