Last weekends' holdovers including "Little Fockers," "True Grit" and "Tron: Legacy (3-D)", will finish one-two-three over the first weekend of 2011 as no nationwide releases were made by major studios, the North America box office authority said on Sunday.

"Little Fockers," the third installment on the "Fockers" franchise starring Robert De Niro and Ben Stiller, is predicted to sell 26.3 million dollars worth of tickets on this three-day weekend, well on pace for a total of 103.2 million dollars in ticket receipts in 12 days since the Universal family comedy opened midweek before Christmas in movie theaters across Canada and the United States. This excellent performance eclipsed "True Grit," the Academy Award and Golden Globe best actor Jeff Bridge's vehicle, which finished second with 24.5 million dollars this weekend. The Coen Brothers retooling of the classic John Wayne 1969 western has taken in 86.8 million dollars over two weeks.

"Tron: Legacy (3-D)," from Disney which puts Jeff Bridges in the lead role, lost its battle against "True Brit," an Oscar race favorite, finishing at the third spot with 18.3 million dollars. The sci-fi actioner is estimated to raked in 130.9 million dollars in ticket stubs over three weeks.

Vying for the last chance to qualify for the Oscars, some hopefuls debuted in limited release.

"Blue Valentine," the Ryan Gosling-Michele Williams romantic drama, sold 277,945 dollars worth of tickets from four theaters in Los Angeles and New York since it debuted Wednesday. The film has already earned some success during awards season and it is likely this will translate into at least some success theatrically.

"Another Year," directed by Mike Leigh, opened at seven theaters, mostly in the Los Angeles area, on Wednesday with 173, 175 dollars in receipts. "The Way Back," a drama about a group of prisoners who escaped from a Siberian gulag during World War II, opened on Wednesday at the AMC Covina, a suburb of Los Angeles.

Rounding out the top ten most popular films are:

-- No.4: "Yogi Bear (3-D)," Warner Bros., 13 million dollars this weekend, 66.1 million dollars over three weeks;

-- No.5: "Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, " Fox, 10.5 million dollars this weekend, 87.1 million over four weeks;

-- No.6: "Tangled (3-D)," Disney, 10 million dollars this weekend, 168 million dollars over six weeks;
