Orphaned Monkey Melts Hearts at Rescue Center
Adjust font size:

A little bee monkey is recovering with help from staff at the Guangxi Wildlife Rescue Center in Nanning, capital of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

The newborn bee monkey weighed only 13 grams when it was sent to the rescue center a week ago. Now it weighs 18.5 grams.

The bee monkey, which had been abandoned by its mother, was in poor health when it arrived at the center.

During the past week, the staff from the rescue center fed it milk and honey and used electric heaters to help keep it warm.

Rescue center staff have grown to think of the bee monkey as their adoptive child.
