On Nov. 30, Luohu District hosted an exchange event for overseas participants of the 9th China (Shenzhen) Innovation & Entrepreneurship International Competition. Representatives of cell-biology projects from 11 countries gathered in Luohu during the competition finals to explore cooperation opportunities. Through onsite visits and in-depth discussions, the international teams gained firsthand insight into the district's innovation capacity and its growing strengths in the life and health sector.
During a roundtable session, officials from the Luohu District Human Resources Bureau introduced the district's "2+2+N" strategy and emerging industries layout, highlighting the life and health sector as a core pillar. Overseas project representatives and Chinese teams discussed topics including company registration, cooperation models, commercialization, patent protection and talent support.
A representative from a Paris-based team remarked, "Luohu's full-chain layout in the life and health sector and its strong support for hard-tech companies are impressive. The innovation ecosystem here is highly attractive."
Next, Luohu will organize a dedicated matchmaking session for the international competition, focusing on the needs of overseas teams seeking to establish operations in the district. Core industry representatives will provide detailed briefings on local industrial strengths and policy incentives.
