Ukraine's Special Operations Forces (SOF) carried out a strike overnight on the Volgograd Oil Refinery in southern Russia.
According to the SOF's statement posted on Telegram on Thursday, the refinery is the largest producer of fuel and lubricants in Russia's Southern Federal District, with an annual processing capacity of 15.7 million tons, accounting for 5.6 percent of the country's oil refining.
Preliminary reports indicate that the refinery's operations have been halted following the attack, the SOF said.
