Pop sensation Jackson Wang unveils his latest creative venture with Apple in the visually stunning music video for "Let Loose." Hot on the heels of his "Magic Man 2" album release, Wang takes the director's chair to bring his bold vision to life — captured entirely on iPhone. The "Let Loose" video reaffirms Wang's commitment to pushing boundaries and delighting fans with fresh, innovative artistry.
Fans first received hints of the surprise at the Apple Special Event on Sept. 9. Apple executives, led by CEO Tim Cook, launched the iPhone 17, iPhone Air, and iPhone 17 Pro. It was during the event that Wang's imagery and a 30-second teaser appeared.
The buzz is building as Jackson Wang drops a dazzling teaser across his social media, flaunting crisp choreography and pristine visuals. Decked out in an off-white ensemble, Wang brings intricate dance moves to the screen—every shot captured on the sleek silver iPhone 17 Pro. "Commissioned by Apple. September 13. Let Loose MV. U have no idea," he teased, sparking frenzy and excitement among fans worldwide.
Apple CEO Tim Cook also showed his support for the creative collaboration. "Loving Jackson Wang's new music video for 'Let Loose,' shot with iPhone 17 Pro! The dynamic camera work really brings his creativity to life," he posted on Weibo.
The cinematic music video for "Let Loose," now available in full and co-directed by Jackson Wang alongside Ojun Kwon, plunges viewers into the exhilaration of a night where the lights fade and the rhythm reigns. Wang's groundbreaking vision shines throughout, elevated by the iPhone 17 Pro's next-generation camera system — including 48MP Ultra Wide and 48MP Telephoto lenses with 8x optical zoom. With dazzling choreography and immersive visuals, "Let Loose" is a testament to how technology and artistry can ignite the dance floor.
Wang said that in the past, when directing music videos, he had often used an iPhone to shoot initial drafts, but noted this project marks the first time he has used it for both full production and post-production. He credited the iPhone's lightweight, agile build for capturing the energy and intensity needed to bring his vision to life, giving the choreography a powerful, cinematic edge.
"Even during some regular full production shoots there were times I didn't get what I expected," Wang shared. "So it was really mind-blowing to experience what the iPhone has achieved in this body of work," he added.

The singer said he was impressed by the iPhone 17 Pro's seamless switching between ultra-wide and telephoto lenses, noting that "the 8x optical zoom is one of my favorite features." He explained further, "any zoom on visuals, whether slow or quick, push in or pull out, always has an intention of emotional delivery. In order to express emotions and narratives in visuals, the dynamics of speed and clarity are very important. And the iPhone 17 Pro perfectly exemplifies this."
Wang said he plans to use the iPhone for his video productions in the future.
The arrival of the new single and its electrifying video rides the wave of Jackson Wang's history-making "Magic Man 2" album, which debuted at No.13 on the Billboard 200 — shattering records as the highest launch ever by a Chinese solo artist. Hot off this milestone, Wang unveiled the Magic Man World Tour, kicking off Oct. 3 with a duo of instantly sold-out shows in Bangkok, followed by three packed nights in Macao. Tickets for every announced date were snapped up in record time, and with upcoming stops in Manila, Tokyo, and beyond, the global anticipation only grows. Wang has already begun intensive rehearsals to deliver an unforgettable spectacle for fans worldwide.
