Microsoft Q4 revenue up 18%

Microsoft posted Wednesday a revenue of 76.4 billion U.S. dollars for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2025 ending June 30, up 18 percent from the same period of its last fiscal year.

The company generated quarterly net profits of 27.2 billion dollars, an increase of 24 percent year on year, while diluted earnings per share went up 24 percent to reach 3.65 dollars. Its operating income was 34.3 billion dollars, up 23 percent, Microsoft said in its quarterly report.

The company's quarterly revenue in productivity and business processes was 33.1 billion dollars, up 16 percent. Revenue in intelligent cloud increased 26 percent, while revenue in more personal computing increased 9 percent.

Microsoft also reported its whole fiscal year 2025 revenue at 281.7 billion dollars, an increase of 15 percent compared to fiscal year 2024. Its yearly Generally Accepted Accounting Principle (GAAP) operating income was 128.5 billion dollars, while GAAP net income in fiscal 2025 was 101.8 billion dollars.

"Cloud and AI is the driving force of business transformation across every industry and sector," said Satya Nadella, chairman and CEO of Microsoft.

"We closed out the fiscal year with a strong quarter, highlighted by Microsoft Cloud revenue reaching 46.7 billion dollars, up 27 percent year over year," said Amy Hood, executive vice president and CFO of Microsoft.
