Everton has completed the signing of 19-year-old Moroccan international defender Adam Aznou from Bayern Munich.
The left-back has agreed a four-year contract with the club for a price that hasn't been confirmed, but thought to be in the region of eight million pounds (10.7 million U.S. dollars).
Everton coach David Moyes confirmed the club was interested in Aznou, who has played three times for his country, on Sunday after his side lost a pre-season friendly game to Bournemouth in the United States.
Last season saw Aznou make four first-team appearances for Bayern before spending the second half of the season on loan at La Liga strugglers Valladolid, where he played 13 times.
"I'm so happy to be here. I'm so proud to be part of this team," commented Aznou on the Everton website.
"The project they gave me is really good. The Premier League is the best league in the world so I'm really excited to start," he added, commenting that he was looking forward to debuting at the club's new Everton Stadium.
"The stadium is really nice. It gives you a good feeling and it's good for our fans to support us. It's perfect for us," he said.
Moyes commented that the club still needs to make around five more signings to have its squad ready for the new Premier League season.
