Real Madrid youngster Martin joins Getafe on loan

Real Madrid has loaned young midfielder Mario Martin to fellow La Liga side Getafe for the 2025-26 season.

Getafe announced the news on its official website on Tuesday, adding that the deal contains an option for the south Madrid outfit to make the move permanent at the end of the campaign.

A combative midfielder, 21-year-old Martin has played 73 times for Real Madrid's B team, becoming its captain, and also made four appearances for Madrid's senior team before spending last season on loan at Real Valladolid.

Martin made 30 appearances in La Liga for Valladolid, but was unable to help the club avoid relegation.
