A new digital platform aimed at helping companies overcome global trade challenges was launched July 18 at the third China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) in Beijing, offering what the developers described as precise tools for supply chain optimization.

The platform, developed by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Trade Development & Cooperation Center and Sinosoft Technology, integrates artificial intelligence and big data technologies to address obstacles facing businesses — particularly Chinese small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) — as they expand internationally.
"Our new platform facilitates comprehensive upgrades through digitalization, compliance transformation, and green development," said Yan Yun, director of the CCPIT Trade Development & Cooperation Center. "By fully leveraging AI technologies, we guide enterprises in using data to achieve market breakthroughs. Through established compliant operations, we help them gain a firm footing in overseas markets."
Yan said the platform reduces costs and improves efficiency while helping SMEs compete internationally through better resource allocation.
Chinese SMEs face three major challenges when expanding globally, Yan told China.org.cn. These include poor supply chain visibility that makes it hard for companies to make good decisions, complicated international trade rules that create high risks and expensive compliance costs, and limited green development skills with inadequate tools for managing carbon emissions.
To address these challenges, Yan outlined the platform's three main capabilities.
The platform offers digital tools that analyze supply chain operations and provide visual maps and data-driven strategies for expansion. It also has compliance features that track customs tariffs, trade agreements and industry rules while monitoring global changes in real-time. These include tariff calculators and advisory services to reduce risks and costs.
The platform also includes green transformation tools with carbon accounting and footprint tracking systems that work as a "green hard drive" for sustainable operations, Yan said.
Xin Yingmei, chairwoman of Sinosoft Technology, said the platform provides solutions for companies facing global economic changes driven by unilateralism and trade barriers. The platform will help trade professionals strengthen resilience and align with high-quality development goals, digital advances and sustainability initiatives that are reshaping supply chains, she said.

Chen Yanjun of Sinosoft Technology subsidiary Jiangsu Skytech said the company has served foreign trade enterprises for over two decades before partnering with the CCPIT Trade Development & Cooperation Center to develop the platform addressing supply chain challenges.
Chen said the platform uses AI and big data to integrate global trade data — including regulations and the CCPIT Trade Development and Cooperation Center's legal case libraries — into a specialized large language model. This allows enterprises to get industry-specific solutions tailored to their product characteristics and requirements.
The executive cited successful cases using their platform, including a company that reduced tariffs by approximately 8% and achieved a 45% emissions reduction while exporting to South Korea.
The platform also helped Chinese photovoltaic companies comply with EU regulations and assisted firms in finding overseas clients. Overseas firms have also used the platform, according to Chen.

"After the launch, we naturally hope to see more enterprises using it," Chen said. "Through our digital, compliance and green solutions, they can better find growth opportunities. More importantly, we aim to use the CISCE platform to connect with global partners and jointly develop this new industrial and supply chain solution for win-win cooperation."
