The 2025 Beijing AI Innovation Competition kicked off on Monday and is now open for registration, accompanied by a series of sideline activities aimed at enhancing public digital skills and capabilities. These events will run through the end of July.
The competition features three categories of participants: the general public, college teams, and enterprises.
The public is encouraged to use AI technology to create online content that highlights cultural richness of Beijing. Professionals will compete in areas such as technological innovation, content security, and applications.
In addition, two thematic tracks are set up, covering AI-powered film and television creation, as well as cross-border commerce, aiming to attract professionals in this regard.
Outstanding entries are expected to be used in real-life scenarios such as community management and medical diagnosis.
As of June, a total of 132 large language models have been registered in Beijing, accounting for nearly 40% of the national total.
Haidian and Mentougou districts have launched large model ecosystem service stations to support enterprises with policy interpretation, computing power allocation, financing, and the commercialization of technological achievements.
