Beijing subway launches foreign exchange service

Beijing's first foreign exchange counter in a subway station opened at Wangfujing Station on Line 8 on Sunday. 

Located at Exit E of the station, the counter offers exchange between RMB and 40 foreign currencies, including all major currencies as well as less circulated ones. 

Chinese citizens can exchange currency using ID cards, while foreign visitors can do so with passports or other valid documents. 

The service offers online reservations and the option to customize change for small denominations.
