More than 20 diplomats from 15 countries, including Russia, the Netherlands, Argentina, Panama, Tanzania, and Ethiopia, visited Pinggu district in Beijing on Friday to explore the area's high-quality development in agriculture, e-commerce, and cultural tourism.

The event, co-hosted by the Beijing People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and the Pinggu District Government, began with a tour of a major food livestreaming and e-commerce event at the Jinhai Lake International Convention and Exhibition Center. Guests also took a boat ride on Jinhai Lake, enjoying the area's natural beauty.

At Beijing Huadu Yukou Poultry Industry Co., Ltd., one of the world's top three layer chicken breeding companies, diplomats learned how advanced technology is shaping China's poultry industry. Yukou's products have already reached markets in Tanzania, and the company is exploring expansion into Southeast Asia, Central Asia, and Africa. Zainabu Zuberi Massoro, minister plenipotentiary of the Tanzanian Embassy in China, praised the impressive development of China's high-tech industries and expressed hopes for increased cooperation, including the possibility of establishing local production in Tanzania.

In a visit to the Guononggang Supply and Marketing Village Livestreaming Industrial Park, diplomats experienced virtual livestreaming sessions and watched demonstrations of rural livestreamers selling products online. Ahmed Nekrouf, minister counselor of the Algerian Embassy in China, noted the strong potential of Pinggu's innovative e-commerce model and said he would recommend it to Algerian businesses.
During a matchmaking session, diplomats discussed potential collaboration opportunities with local companies. Rolando Luis Pinzon Fuentes, counselor of the Panamanian Embassy in China, said that Pinggu's model of using livestreaming to drive rural revitalization could be applicable in Latin America. He expressed interest in seeing more exchange events in the future to strengthen cooperation.
Tang Hailong, secretary of the Communist Party of China Pinggu District Committee, welcomed the diplomats and guests, highlighting the district's commitment to integrated industrial development and high-quality growth. He encouraged international guests to share suggestions for Pinggu's development and experience firsthand the vitality of rural Beijing and the broader vision of Chinese modernization.
The event was part of a signature program by the Beijing People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries aimed at promoting local industries and fostering international cooperation.
